Bus Driver - Part Time

Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time
Location: Lee's Summit, MO
Overview:
St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The driver plays a key role in ensuring students are transported to athletic events, field trips, and other school-related activities. Drivers will also support transportation needs of our feeder schools in the diocese.
Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus along scheduled routes and to special events
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Maintain student discipline and ensure a safe, respectful environment on the bus
• Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus
• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to administration
• Support the Catholic mission and values of the school through respectful interaction with students and staff

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Experience driving a bus preferred
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Diocesan policies
• Commitment to the safety and well-being of students
• Support for the Catholic mission of the school (applicants of all faiths are welcome)

Hours & Schedule:

• Part-time hours, must be available for a flexible weekly schedule
• Occasional evening or weekend trips for school activities or athletics

Compensation:

• Hourly wage based on experience
• Part-time
