The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced Videographer/Editor to join the

Virginia Talent Accelerator Program . This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects with the world’s most prestigious companies as they deploy leading edge technologies at their new or expanding Virginia locations. The Virginia Talent Accelerator services are offered as an incentive to encourage eligible new and expanding companies to create new jobs in Virginia. The program primarily serves advanced manufacturing facilities but also serves technology, and biopharma industries. The core deliverables are talent acquisition and new-hire training services that are fully customized to a client company’s unique jobs, processes, equipment, procedures, and standards. These services are part of a comprehensive suite which also includes training and consulting in leadership, collaboration skills, quality systems, and automation technologies as well as advertisements for recruitment in the company. The candidate will be part of a team that consists of the Managing Director of Video Services, Videographers, Editors and Producers. The Videographer/Editor will most often shoot with a second and sometimes third videographer. This position will also provide lighting and sound support for every shoot. Responsibilities: Shoot and edit video projects from start to finish Shoot in every type of manufacturing facility Shoot stylized recruitment and Virginia lifestyle projects Manage and maintain camera gear to ensure we are ready to shoot footage in any given situation Participate in video strategy sessions to determine creative direction of projects Contribute to discussions and decisions about purchasing new technology as it becomes available Travel up to 5-10 days each month throughout the Commonwealth and sometimes throughout the country and internationally Skills: Ability to set up, calibrate and shoot high-quality footage with the Sony FX3 and FX30, and GoPro cameras Ability to operate a Gimbal to smoothly follow manufacturing process Ability to capture manufacturing processes in real time Ability to set up lighting in all settings with a high degree of professional quality, including use of a green screen in studio Ability to be on feet for long hours Collaborative and open-minded with a high degree of enthusiasm and a willingness to deliver results in all circumstances Verbal and written communication expertise Excels under pressure in a fast-paced, high-profile work environment Experience required: At least 5 years of experience shooting and editing professional videos in a corporate and manufacturing environment High-level experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and basic user knowledge of Adobe After Effects Drone experience not necessary, but a plus Experience desired: Substantial experience developing and delivering video footage to support training in manufacturing environments Substantial experience developing and delivering commercial grade video for broadcast Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
