Job Description In your new role you will:
Co-develop and help our strategic customers design and build USB Type-C and Power Delivery interfaces into their systems Work closely with engineering, sales and marketing to help further grow our USB Type-C business. Create or review of reference schematics for customers Developed and customize firmware for customers' requirements Validate of firmware and hardware against customer requirements Bring-up of customer hardware (Integration of Infineon Technologies delivered firmware with customer's hardware) Test and validate of Infineon Technologies Power Delivery controller firmware on Customer's Hardware Write application notes for USB Type-C and Power Delivery applications Create reference designs Train customers and field engineers on Infineon Technologies solutions for USB Type-C and Power Delivery Come up with external requirements for new products (Silicon, Reference Designs and FW) Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 7+ years of experience Ability to work with a variety of internal teams in Hardware and Software Engineering, Systems, Field Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Standards Bodies (USB-IF) and external customers Ability to write and debug firmware in C and/or assembler Ability to understand the PCB design layout and schematic capture, ability to pick right components (BoM) based on system requirements Hands on debugging of various interfaces using Microcontroller products Understanding of various serial interfaces: USB, I2C, UART, SPI, etc. Understanding of the USB Type-C and Power Delivery specifications is a plus Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, protocol analyzers Knowledge of analog design, power management circuits like switching regulator/LDO/DC-DC converters Experience in embedded system design or applications/customer support Strong team-player and practical hands-on problem solver Ability to multitask in a high energy environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner

San Jose, CA Minimum of $146,100 salary per year / Maximum of $200,900 salary per year Austin, TX Minimum of $128,400 salary per year / Maximum of $176,600 salary per year In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
