Environmental Compliance Coordinator
Dominion Energy is looking for an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to join its team at their Chesterfield Power Station. This position ensures company compliance, at a specific location, with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations. The successful candidate will: Be responsible for safe and efficient operation of the work site, to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures. May serve as a liaison with external and governmental agencies. Coordinates with and monitors operations and maintenance personnel, to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical management, waste management, and wildlife management rules and regulations. Inspects or assesses, and provides recommendations regarding compliance issues to management. Analyzes data, and prepares management reports on environmental compliance. May serve as a primary site coordinator with internal department and external agencies on environmental or chemical management issues. May serve as a contact with the community to resolve complaints or problems. Procures services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental programs. Coordinates hazardous waste disposal. Provides training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, and for other procedural requirements. Evaluates new regulations and coordinates compliance plan. This position currently works a compressed work week schedule with every other Friday off. Note this position is an office position and not open to hybrid work. The successful candidate must be able to work in all types of weather conditions, and the successful candidate will have to go out in the field and sample and perform inspections. The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following: Environmental Compliance Coordinator:
3+ years of related experience (with a Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree with 5+ years of directly related experience or a high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of directly related experience and a valid driver's license. Senior Environmental Compliance Coordinator:
5+ years of directly related experience (with a Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree with 7+ years of directly related experience or a high school diploma/GED with 9+ years of directly related experience and a valid driver's license. Air compliance and regulation experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements. Ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans. Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance. Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports. Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking skills. Analytical and record keeping skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point). Organizational skills and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in field environments. Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate Bachelor Preferred Discipline(s): Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Science Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
