Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Support the technical assistance intake and application process for truck and school bus fleet operators. Review and approve applications including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for technical assistance. Support and manage all aspects of technical assistance projects including technical review (specifically on validity of route analysis, charging plan development, and site planning), client engagement, and progress/budget tracking. Engage with utilities to coordinate on Fleet Electrification Plans (FEPs). Support broad engagement with trucking fleets and school districts, and school bus contractors to inform them about programs. Track, document, and report on projects as needed. Other duties as assigned that contribute toward the key outcomes of the Clean Transportation team. To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]
Strong project management skills to be able to oversee many projects at the same time. Ability to competently and confidently interact with outside stakeholders
*including trucking fleets, school districts and school bus operators, consultants, and utilities.
Strong IT system fluency or ability to learn systems quickly. Ability to stay organized and follow or set processes for managing many projects is essential. Experience with clean transportation, electric vehicles, and EV infrastructure is strongly preferred. Training or experience in transportation and/or civil/mechanical/electrical engineering strongly preferred. Experience with utility engagement, vehicle fleet operations, and/or school district operations would be helpful but is not required. Education and experience commensurate with a Bachelors degree. Background, including formal training, in transportation, civil/mechanical/electrical engineering, or similar field strongly preferred. Expected Years of Experience: 3-6 years. Has well developed understanding of relevant technical principles and their application to a program area. Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues. Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area. Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of on-going projects with no supervision. Is able to prioritize workload with other responsibilities. Effectively discharges general technical and project management. IT systems that will be used:
