We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce scalable software solutions within the Workplace engineering team. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As an engineer , you should be comfortable with back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should have solid software engineering experience in building commercial-grade w eb-based applications and scalable cloud-centric APIs (Applications and programming interfaces). A successful candidate will be able to play an active role in managing the prioritization of work to meet project goals.
This position is based in our Chicago office. We follow a hybrid policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with development teams and product managers to build software
Design & develop client-side and server-side architecture
Write scalable APIs using Java based technologies (Java 8+, Java Spring Boot)
Develop software with the focus on security, availability, and scalability
Write technical documentation
Requirements:
Proven experience as a full-stack d eveloper or similar role
5-7 years experience in back-end languages ( Java )
Familiarity with any databases technologies Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL
Experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services) based environment building serverless applications is a plus
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Great attention to detail and o rganizational skills
Experience within the financial services industry is desirable
