HCA Healthcare ITG Consulting Project Managers are innovative individuals who use creativity and stakeholder partnerships to deliver business value. Consulting Project Managers utilize expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and resolve issues to ensure project and/or program goals and requirements are met. Consulting Project Managers have ownership from initiation, to development of the defined results through deployment of the product, including turnover to the appropriate systems support and user support organizations. As a recognized leader, Consulting Project Managers will be sought after to coach and mentor junior staff. Consulting Project Managers lead the way in how projects are managed; a thought-leader. Manages all types of projects and/or programs: high visibility projects and/or programs, highly ambiguous projects and/or programs, extremely complex projects and/or programs crossing multiple organizations, high priority executive leadership projects and/or programs. Identifies methods to improve project management capabilities and processes. Applied to this position, your skills will help transform healthcare through technology and solutions that dramatically improve patient care and business operations. Leads a variety of different types of projects including launch of new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. Develops and oversees financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures. Leads a continuous risk and issues management process to identify and assess risks and issues; develops and manages mitigation measures to minimize exposure to projects and the business. Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works within a matrixed organization to oversee all phases of a project. Determines the most appropriate mode of communication for any given situation, ensures communication is timely, succinct, and tailored to the appropriate audience. Defines and tracks project milestones; develops, maintains and reports on an overall integrated delivery plan. Emotional intelligence- displays professionalism, diplomacy, and calmness under pressure when confronted with politically sensitive situations. Establishes and leads enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. Recovers troubled projects and shapes ambiguous projects. Facilitates the resolution of conflicts between key stakeholders, project team members, and sponsors through interest-based negotiation. Exercises discretion when managing and protecting sensitive business and patient information. Facilitates large-level, multi-disciplinary planning sessions and executive-level project/program meetings. Exercises stewardship of enterprise resources and ROI as a capable influencer Creates appropriate project/program artifacts. Mentors colleagues in order to influence and build strategic relationships; actively seeks to develop and grow others. Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters. Serves as a project/program subject matter expert; routinely briefs key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives. Gathers information from multiple sources to assess options and likely outcomes for organizational challenges and opportunities and leads others through this process. Demonstrates organizational agility (flexible to take on projects in many business lines). Supports/Facilitates contract execution and vendor management. Proposes recommendations, adjustments, and process improvements to achieve success. Represents the project/program in various project governance and inter-department forums. What qualifications you will need to bring: Areas of experience: Healthcare - preferred, Information Technology - preferred, Project Management - required, Microsoft Office product proficiency - required. Years of experience: 7 or more years - preferred. Certification: S PMP preferred, Agile Project Management and Scrum certification - preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree - preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Special qualifications: Proven ability to build strong and positive relationships and quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; lead and inspire teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity. Proven ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively. Servant leadership; a leader who considers the needs of the team over his/her own. Physical Demands / Work Environment: Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects. Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings. Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
