Join Day & Zimmermann as a Senior Project Manager to lead exciting capital and maintenance projects in a fossil and gas combined cycle power plant environment. This is your opportunity to play a crucial role in overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Plan and organize capital improvement, outage, and maintenance projects, ensuring smooth execution within the power plant. Craft detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations for successful project delivery. Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning efforts across teams. Manage relationships with contractors and vendors, ensuring contract execution and adherence to performance standards. Uphold safety, health, environmental, and regulatory compliance throughout all project phases. Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies. Lead project status meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project developments. Collaborate closely with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and corporate support to align projects with operational goals. Oversee project change orders, cost tracking, and financial reporting to maintain budgetary controls. Support outage planning, execution, and review processes to enhance future performance. Ensure quality assurance and adherence to industry best practices and company standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred or 5+ years of project management experience specifically in fossil fuel or combined cycle power plants. In-depth knowledge of aeroderivative gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and balance-of-plant systems. Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects with complex schedules and diverse stakeholders. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams while effectively managing contractors and vendors. Strong familiarity with safety and environmental regulations relevant to power generation. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in project management software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. PMP certification is a plus. In compliance with pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $96,000 - $210,000. The final offer may vary based on experience and location. We care about our employees and it shows!
