Join our team as a Clinical Informatics Nurse Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing clinical information systems to improve patient care outcomes. As an integral part of our clinical informatics team, you will blend nursing expertise with information technology to ensure our systems meet the needs of clinicians and patients alike. You will work collaboratively with various departments to design, implement, and evaluate clinical information systems while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice. Your ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and analyze workflows will be essential as you identify opportunities for technological enhancements that directly impact patient safety and care quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and support systems that enhance quality and patient care outcomes using innovative information technology. Stay updated on computer applications and patient safety literature to guide system modifications. Conduct workflow analyses to optimize technology use in patient care. Input on clinical functions suitable for computer application to ensure alignment with nursing standards. Collaborate with end users organization-wide on computer system initiatives. Lead user group forums to continuously assess and enhance system functionality. Partner with leadership and IT staff on special projects for improvement. Promote and integrate advanced information technologies into nursing practices. Assess the impacts of technological changes on patient safety and healthcare delivery. Participate in committees to promote technology advancements in patient care. Work with Nursing Education to create training programs for system implementations. Identify and develop super-users to support and train nursing staff. Communicate initiatives to improve Patient Services across the organization. Design documentation tools with quality staff to meet regulatory standards. Support data analytics and focus on real-time clinical information application. Facilitate system changes to enhance patient care and operational workflows. Uphold ethical considerations, including privacy and data security. Collaborate across disciplines to support integrated work processes. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field - required 1-3 years of acute-care nursing experience - required 1-3 years of Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation experience - required Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills. Ability to present ideas logically and collaborate to solve problems. Effective project management skills.
