Responsibilities

The Class A Boom Truck Driver is a key position at Jensen Precast. Every day you’re out in the field, safely delivering precast products. Reporting to dispatch, you’ll primarily work with customers, delivery drivers and the sales team.

• Transport precast materials, secure loads and ensure that your truck does not exceed the maximum weight limits for transport.
• Understand and are fully aware of all DOT guidelines and adhere to such regulations; maintain logs of working hours, of vehicle service and repair status following applicable state and federal regulations; check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Ensure proper customer service by reviewing and comparing invoice to what product is loaded; collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verify instructions, and requested routes/drop off location; read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes; drive truck to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes.

Qualifications

• Position Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated commercial driving experience. Other desired qualifications include but are not limited to:
• Preferred Experience: Between 2 and 5 years
• 3 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Ability to minimize downtime between deliveries
• Familiarity with DOT requirements
• Self-motivated and able to perform role with minimal direction
