This role will play a crucial role in supporting and advancing our business by translating data and analytics into business impact. This position is unique as it partners very closely with our business units, offering a hands-on opportunity to influence business strategies and decisions directly. The Lead Data Science Analyst is responsible for reporting and analysis capabilities to proactively generate insights that optimize strategic choices. This role collaborates with a broad group of Product Managers, Decision Intelligence, Connected Services, Marketing,
and Finance stakeholders through modeling, analysis,experimentation, and data-driven recommendations that provide critical insights to drive informed decision-making. This role demands acute business acumen complemented by
strong technical analytical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build relationships with business leaders and truly understand their strategy, key initiatives, and KPIs for success such that you have shared ownership for reaching their goals.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within business operations.
- Proactively generate hypotheses that could improve business results by leveraging data-supported analysis.
- Proactively produce executive-level verbal and written analyses, insights, and reports that support data-driven recommendations.
- Develop a deep understanding of relevant data from various data platforms.
- Translate complex business requirements into analytical frameworks.
- Apply structured testing approaches to evaluate marketing initiatives across channels, uncover insights, and guide strategic decision-making through rigorous data analysis.
- Analyze customer journeys, funnel conversion, and cohort behavior to identify growth opportunities.
- Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, integrate, and analyze large datasets.
- Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI to communicate insights to
- stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all analytics and reporting.
- Drive the importance of data collection and creating meaningful tests to measure incremental growth.
- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights that support business objectives.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across
- their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Engineering, or another related field with significant analytical coursework
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics role, preferably in marketing and growth analytics
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and analyzing large scale A/B tests and interpreting results in a business context
- 2+ years of experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools
- 3+ years working with SQL or Python
- Demonstrated aptitude distilling complex business problems into clear analytical solutions that can and will be adopted and implemented
- Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to conclusion, both independently and in a team environment (including working with both internal and external business partners)
- Strong foundation in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests and other experimental methodologies to evaluate marketing strategies, optimize campaign performance, and drive data-informed decision-making
- Exceptional SQL skills with a strong track record of working with complex datasets, including data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong understanding of business processes and strategic planning
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable business insights.
- Proven track record of leading projects and cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Certifications:
MBA or Master's degree in a related field
Experience:
- Experience with Azure (or other cloud environments) and Databricks
- Understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures
- Experience creating calculated metrics, managing and blending data models within Power BI
- Experience with IoT, SaaS, and/or intelligent consumer products & services
- Experience working with customer-facing digital experiences, including end-to-end customer acquisition and engagement processes within mobile applications or parallel platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP, and CDP platforms such as Tealium
- Experience with Project Management/Tracking tools such as Jira
- Experience building and creating web-based data visualizations.
- Experience creating temporary semantic data layers that support organizational self-service analytics within Azure Cloud architecture.
- Understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures • Strong understanding of financial concepts and analytics
- Working with a software/technology organization

The pay range for this position is $97,700.00 - $184,175.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
