Basic Job Functions: The role of the Strand Tender responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, performing all tasks associated with operating the process in the casting area:mold operations, ladle operations, control panel, assisting maintenance as necessary, coordinating caster operations with those of other departments, and assisting the Casting Lead. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications: Current or previous experience working in Melt Shop
