Be a part of the business transformation re-imagining the way PG&E works. We are building a team to lead PG&E's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program (Propel) focused on streamlining and standardizing our business processes in work and asset management, supply chain, finance and IT. We are re-implementing our SAP ECC system and moving our entire SAP Solution top to bottom to new SAP S4/HANA.
Position Summary
The SAP Solution Architect, Chief will manage the technical design of SAP system, including its dependencies and integration of solutions into PG&E's broader application ecosystem and external party systems, targeting to deliver cost-effective solutions while maximizing service delivery and coworker satisfaction within PG&E. Chief is a Director level equivalent at PG&E and reserved for highly skilled technical leaders with deep domain experience in areas of strategic need.
This position is hybrid working from your home office and the Oakland General Office (OGO) 3 days a week and or as business needs require.
Reporting Relationship
The SAP Chief Solution Architect will report to the Senior Director- SAP. This role is a high-level individual contributor who will need to influence peers and key stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Establish and manage S/4 technical architecture runway including processes for reviewing and approving solution designs and developing metrics to track the effectiveness and quality of S/4 technical architecture. Lead S/4 Hana solution technical architecture, technology selection, and develop guiding principles and patterns Design S/4Hana technical solution architecture Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines for SAP systems. Develop strategy, approach, patterns, guardrails for the data Solution, integration, and D&A. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and develop the application architecture strategy and technology roadmap for SAP systems, specifically SAP S/4 HANA. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to SAP infrastructure and SAP S/4 HANA and recommend suitable enhancements or improvements. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and implement SAP and non-SAP applications to meet business objectives. Develop integration strategies and oversee the implementation of middleware and integration with knowledge of other Integration tools like MuleSoft. Leadership Qualities

BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related f ield or equivalent experience 12 years in IT 10 years of solution architecture and project implementation experience Extensive experience (8+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing business solutions for SAP systems, with a strong emphasis on SAP S/4 HANA. Desired
Expertise in ABAP, ABAP on Hana, SAP BTP, SAP HANA, OData, SAP Gateway . Knowledge of SAP Modules FI, CO, MM, HR, EAM. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Compensation
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. To that end, we estimate the base salary would be between $163K to $277K; the Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) target is 20%; and the Long-Term Incentive Program (LTIP).
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
