What this job involves: As a Shipping And Receiving Clerk, you will manage the complete process of both incoming and outgoing packages at JLL facilities. Your responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and documenting deliveries, packaging and preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with carriers, and keeping warehouse areas organized and clean. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. What your day-to-day will look like: Processing Incoming Goods: Receive and unload shipments from trucks, inspecting packages for damage upon arrival Verify contents against purchase orders or invoices to ensure accuracy Update inventory records and document incoming materials systematically Stock items in their proper locations within the warehouse Preparing Outgoing Shipments: Pack items securely using appropriate materials and methods Create shipping labels and prepare all necessary documentation Arrange for carrier pickup and coordinate delivery schedules Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods Monitor and ensure inventory levels are correct and up-to-date Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies Warehouse Organization: Keep receiving and shipping areas clean, organized, and safe at all times Ensure all items are stored properly according to established protocols Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse Documentation: Complete all required paperwork for shipments, including tracking, shipping, and delivery information Maintain detailed records for audit and reference purposes Coordination: Communicate effectively with carriers and vendors to arrange shipping and delivery Coordinate with internal departments as needed for smooth operations Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies Maintain a safe work environment and report any safety concerns Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail for accurately verifying contents, updating records, and selecting correct items Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate inventory records Strong communication skills for coordinating with carriers, vendors, and internal departments Technical proficiency with computers, office equipment, and warehouse management software Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods (35+ pounds) Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations Familiarity with inventory management systems Experience with various shipping carriers and their systems Physical Requirements and Work Conditions: Ability to lift up to 35+ pounds regularly Extended periods of standing, walking, and physical activity Work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures Location: Onsite Warrendale, PA If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
