Director of Sales
at the
Hotel THesis Miami . Location: Coral Gables, FL. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the sales team to achieve high standards of professionalism, guest service, and profitability. Responsibilities include developing business leads, soliciting potential clients, servicing existing accounts, selling hotel facilities, targeting business in assigned market segments, and meeting or exceeding sales goals, occupancy, and revenue. The role involves interacting with guests, clients, and hotel team members to maintain service standards. Key Responsibilities
Responsible, in conjunction with the General Manager, for meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for hotel revenue, RevPAR, occupancy and ADR; manage all areas of sales and marketing according to brand standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community. Hands-on/lead-by-example manager actively involved daily in securing, qualifying, and following up on leads to book specific business. Develops/assists with development of the hotel’s sales plan based on the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment. Know the competition; analyze strengths and weaknesses for each market segment and direct marketing activities accordingly. Forecast occupancy fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues. Ensure hotel employees are familiar with key accounts, their needs, and arrangements (rates, room types, key contacts). Negotiate group and corporate business rates, meeting room rental, hotel services and contracts in line with company standards. Work with the sales team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation for each segment. Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies. Drive customer loyalty to grow market share by delivering service excellence throughout the customer experience. Promote proactive selling and outside sales calls; the central focus of the role is sales. Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, willing to learn; excellent relationship-building, negotiating skills, follow-through, organizational and time-management skills are required. Travel up to 10% may be required. Qualifications
A minimum of 5 or more years of full-service hotel sales experience. Hilton brand experience highly preferred. Florida market experience preferred. Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required. Strong leadership abilities and the capability to develop strategy and drive execution. Proficiency with PC applications, including property management systems, databases, third-party sales tools, and Microsoft Office. Compensation The compensation range for this position is
$130,000.00/Yr. - $150,000.00/Yr.
