The Medical Intensive Care Unit provides interdisciplinary care for patients with a variety of serious medical conditions in a technologically advanced environment. MICU is a closed unit run by pulmonary/critical care specialist physicians and patients are frequently on ventilators, and vasopressor support. We have 6 Critical Care Intensivists: A resident team, each led by an attending who specializes in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Daily multidisciplinary rounds at bedside to discuss patients' plans of care.
The Patient Access Representative II (PAR II) position consists of both administrative/clerical functions in addition to the clinical responsibilities of the medical assistant/CNA. They provide the department the flexibility of meeting both clinical and administrative needs, while contributing to the smooth operation by facilitating patient flow.
High School Diploma AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider One year of previous experience as a nursing assistantOR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotationOR Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training programOR equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee
