HDR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in client development and delivery of large, complex projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in successfully delivering Healthcare, Civic, Sports, Transportation, Aerospace, and/or Commercial Real Estate projects, from planning and pre-design through design, construction support, and commissioning. In addition to managing projects, the candidate must have the drive, experience, and charisma to develop and secure work from a global client base and enhance HDRs reputation in these markets. The role involves managing multidisciplinary design teams from conception to completion, requiring strong organizational skills and follow-through. The individual will collaborate closely with Regional Building Engineering Services Managers and our global client management team. Some travel to client sites or HDR offices is expected.
As a Project Manager Engineering Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle under the supervision of a Project Manager
Managing aspects of small projects or parts of larger projects
Ensuring project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Collaborating with Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for project reviews
Performing additional duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Local candidates preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction, or commissioning
Professional Engineer (PE) license
PMP certification
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and Bluebeam
Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers
Availability to travel locally (~50%) and regionally ( Preference for candidates with PE or Architecture licensure and the ability to become proficient in Revit
Experience in Healthcare, Data Center, Science and Technology, or Mission Critical facilities

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
