Basic Job Functions: The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for ensuring implementation and monitoring of adherence to divisions environmental compliance programs to include: air, wastewater, drinking water, recycling, SDS, waste/hazardous waste. The Coordinator oversees Environmental reporting and documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for all environmental incidents and related corrective actions. Reviews plant-wide projects, MOC/CAPX as it pertains to materials, processes and new equipment affecting division permits and environmental regulations. The Environmental Coordinator is an active member of the EHS team engaging in training, audits and community outreach. The Coordinator will track division performance, have ongoing courageous communications related to Environmental compliance and take steps to continuously improve the division Environmental Program; they must lead, influence, coach and teach teammates.Compensation consists of salary plus ROA. The person in this role must either have a Wastewater B license or be able to obtain license within 9 months. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Vulcraft Indiana will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in environmental compliance and wastewater treatment operations. Experience with management and administration of regulatory programs. Experience with Microsoft Office and management/tracking software Preferred Qualifications: Degree from an accredited university in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field. Experience managing agency relationships and navigating audits or inspections Title V, SPCC, SWPP, RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal knowledge Waste Water treatment License B or higher
