Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Strongly Preferred) Required Experience: Two (2) years of job-related leadership experience Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of job-related leadership experience Required Certification/License/Registry: Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure] Responsibilities
Your Role: Responsible for directly supervising and managing RN/Assistant Nurse Managers in the inpatient units and on the behavioral emergency services team. Oversees RN/Assistant Nurse Managers regarding staff training, staffing schedules, the hiring/termination process, patient flow, performance monitoring, and adherence with Behavioral Health Center (BHC) policies and procedures, the Joint Commission standards, and State of Florida liecnsure standards. Monitors nursing-related program performance metrics. Acts as a delegate in the Dir/Inpatient Services' absence. Oversees nursing students in the inpatient units. Represents the BHC at hospital-wide nursing meetings (as directed). Promotes a consistent and consolidated direction in providing nursing care in accordance with nursing practice philosophy and ethical guidelines.
