For over 70 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence. We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in coordinating planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. The Project Engineer plans and formulates the Engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. You will also evaluates and approve design changes, specification and drawing releases, and coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. You will have experience in Configuration Management (CM) processes, procedures, and tools supporting the FBM program implementation of new and existing hardware Configuration documentation requirements. The CM candidate should have a sound understanding of CM life-cycle activities. Basic Qualifications: Experience working on proposals Experience with managing all phases of project development and implementation Experience leading teams, developing processes and business requirements, and collaborating with internal and external management or customers. Experience using PTC Windchill software or other Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems and/or tool administration; Livelink, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. US Citizenship and a Valid Final Top Secret Security Clearance. Desired Skills: Experience in Boards, data configuration management and the Engineering Review Board (ERB)/Configuration Change Board (CCB) board process. Able to determine CDM contractual requirements in DoD Contracts. Contract and/or subcontract management Program planning and start-up activities for Configuration and Data Management Livelink / SharePoint or other workgroup collaboration tools Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
