We're looking for a passionate engineer with a background in mechanical design to join the Large Gas Turbine Combustion Design team as a design engineer for all combustion system developments. As the design engineer, you would be intimately involved in the development of various parts of the combustion system. You would interact with the combustion aerodynamic, procurement, and manufacturing team and be a part of the integrated project team working on the design of new combustion systems. How you'll make an impact: Design of the latest combustion hardware contributing to the decarbonization goals of Siemens Energy Development of the latest combustion system utilizing the latest manufacturing techniques both conventional and additive Communicate and work effectively with manufacturing and service engineering colleagues on process improvements and new product development and introduction What you bring: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in machine design Ability to create complex drawings and specifications, including a solid understanding of GD&T Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Current SE employees with existing visa sponsorship may be eligible for visa transfer. What you preferably bring: MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience in design of mechanical components Good presentation and collaboration skills Experience with Siemens NX CAD, ANSYS, Teamcenter & SAP Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. About the team: Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
