Openshift Container Platform Expert

The ideal candidate will join our team with an in-depth expertise in OpenShift Container Platform, VMware virtualized on-prem workloads, create CI/CD workflows and scalable infrastructure while maintaining security standards; all in a development/lab environment. Skills include OCP, OpenShift, VMware, GitLab, Ansible, DevOps, Cloud, and System Administrator. Top skills details include designing, deploying, and managing OpenShift - Container Platform (OCP) clusters primarily, OpenShift Virtualization massive plus. Strong on-prem experience deploying OCP. Five or more years experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer. Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift OCP (v4.12+ preferred), including cluster operations and administration. Five or more years experience with VMware vSphere. Additional skills and qualifications include implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift and related tools (e.g., GitLab CI). Developing automation scripts for cluster provisioning and maintenance (Ansible, Helm, etc.). Monitoring OpenShift clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability. Troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues related to OpenShift and container workloads. Maintaining and upgrading OpenShift clusters and components. Troubleshooting issues across infrastructure, platform, and container levels. Collaborating with developers and DevOps teams to support containerized workloads and microservices. Documenting systems architecture, configurations, and migration processes. Providing knowledge transfer and guidance to internal teams as needed. Soft skills include excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Passion for automation, scalability, and operational excellence. Experience level: Expert level.
