This is an assistant managerial position reporting to the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager within the department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage transit and aviation projects as assigned. Coordinate with the owner's representative to communicate project progress. Prepare preliminary estimates and budgets. Select and solicit bids from subcontractors. Review subcontractor proposals. Prepare, review, and submit contract changes and proposals. Negotiate contract modifications with owners. Handle submittals and shop drawings. Collaborate on CPM project scheduling. Prepare project cost budgets. Monitor construction progress with the superintendent. Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Investigate adverse situations and report findings. Represent the company in project meetings as needed. Monitor and control project costs. Participate actively in safety initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of transit and aviation construction, estimating, and quantity take-offs. Proficiency in project management software, scheduling, communication, and organization. Ability to work independently on assigned projects. Education & Experience
B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or 2-3 years of general construction experience. Additional Details
