Job Title: Sous Chef Location: Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach Job Description: Grand Villa of Deerfield Beach is seeking a prominent and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist our Food Service Manager in food preparation, cooking, and other assigned duties. This position requires flexibility in work hours, with shifts from 7 AM to 2 PM and 12 PM to 7 PM. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. - Collaborate with the Food Service Manager to ensure efficient kitchen operations. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas. - Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times. - Assist in menu planning and inventory management. - Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed. Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a culinary environment. - Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.
