Summary: See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities include performing causative research to resolve critical inventory discrepancies, extensive research on inventory discrepancies, determining the causes of discrepancies, making or coordinating adjustments to correct inventory records, processing supply discrepancy reports, performing shelf-life updates, and caring of supplies in storage. Participates in evaluating and analyzing trends for inventory discrepancies, assists specialists in the analysis of automated systems, and may operate material handling equipment. Requirements: To qualify for a Supply Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position. Creditable specialized experience includes conducting physical inventories, investigating stock/record/material discrepancies, and preparing reports concerning results of investigations performed. Education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. Physical demands include climbing ladders, lifting objects, crawling, and entering restricted areas. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Safety and health requirements include wearing safety clothing and equipment appropriate for the job and work area. Education: Are you using your education to qualify? Graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.
