Manufacturing Engineer
The role of a Manufacturing Engineer is to provide technical expertise to enhance production efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs. This position involves collaboration with production and other internal teams to innovate and improve manufacturing processes. Responsibilities also include designing, maintaining, and optimizing manufacturing processes for ERP systems. Responsibilities include: Provide technical support for capacity planning and process improvements. Collaborate with leaders and production teams to design manufacturing lines in line with lean methodologies. Evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to reduce cycle time and minimize waste. Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues such as equipment malfunctions and quality concerns. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates and material utilization. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow and equipment layout. Establish and maintain documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures. Provide engineering support for new and existing products. Specify and design jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering. Essential Skills include: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering. Experience in process improvements with strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing lines and processes with lean methodologies. Familiarity with ERP systems routers. Additional Skills & Qualifications include: Experience with continuous improvement tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone, VSM, and 6 Sigma. Experience in plant layout and process optimization. Knowledge of new product introduction. The work environment is a manufacturing setting currently undergoing expansion. The candidate must be onsite five days a week, actively engaging in hands-on collaboration with various teams. The role involves working with assembly flows and ensuring efficient data entry into the ERP system. The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $53.00/hr.
