Manufacturing Engineer III

The Manufacturing Engineer III at Parker's Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) is a highly skilled and experienced role responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment across the Parker enterprise. Oversees and optimizes more complex manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, innovation, and drive operational excellence. Initially focused on additive manufacturing (AM), this role will expand to support broader advanced manufacturing techniques. May be responsible for developing and deploying large capital projects. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct or indirect reports. This position will coordinate with Parker groups and divisions on a regular basis to support their needs and the AMC charter to discover, develop, and deploy advanced manufacturing capabilities. Essential Functions

Support daily operations of AMC lab and equipment. Manage project plans and metrics to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. Develop, test, and deploy advanced manufacturing methods and systems to improve production efficiency, product quality, cost-effectiveness, and workplace safety. Support the design, fabrication, and/or modification of key components for new and existing prototypes of systems under development and conventional manufacturing tool and techniques. Help develop and implement process improvement projects. Collaborate with Parker Engineers to discover and evaluate potential applications. Training and development of curriculum for Parker Engineers, Operators, and Management in the disciplines of AM and other advanced manufacturing methods. Regulatory Compliance Ensure complex processes and procedures comply with regulations. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field with 5-8 years of experience. Ability to work effectively with CAD systems. AM (3D Printing) experience and DfAM software experience (Magics, GrabCAD, nTop, etc.) preferred. Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and specifications. Hands on experience with manufacturing equipment including, but not limited to: lathe, mill, drill press, inspection and measurement equipment preferred. Has strong facilitation skills and ability to effectively communicate and present status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Ability to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major projects and provide direction to external team members toward project milestones. Knowledge of material science and metallurgy principles to support process development and material characterization preferred. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task. Strong prioritization skills. Strong computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers. Self-motivated creative thinker.
