Location: This role requires associates to be in-office three days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The Manager, Clinical Operations Medical Director is responsible for providing day-to-day guidance, support, and leadership for the clinical and quality activities and support the Medical Director in ensuring the clinical integrity of broad and significant clinical programs. How you will make an impact: Provides support to clinicians in daily tasks and participates in peer-to-peer discussions and office visits with providers and external physicians as necessary. May participate in a physician on-call rotation for a 24x7 pre-certification unit. Assists in the practitioner appeal reviews, appropriateness criteria reviews, medical policy and technology assessments, setting and implementing QI initiatives, and practitioner/provider credentialing. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Minimum Requirements: Requires MD or DO. Minimum of five years clinical experience with expertise in medical management required. Board certification is required where applicable to the duties being performed. For associates working within Puerto Rico who are member or patient facing either in a clinical setting or in the Best Transportation unit, a current PR health certificate and a current PR Law 300 certificate are required for this position. For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary range for this specific position is $232,596 to $382,122.
