Northrop Grumman Space SystemsLaunch and Missile Defense Systems presents an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal System Admin Compliance/Patching Sys Admin to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This role, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battles, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. This individual will serve as the primary group for testing and applying patches on all leading software and application systems, including workstations and servers. This team will support the system by continuously interacting with the cyber and compliance teams to remediate any vulnerabilities found during automated or manual cyber scans. Essential functions include experience with patching in an enterprise-level system, writing standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation, and creating documentation outlining a comprehensive testing strategy for regression testing after patching workstations and servers. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant experience may be accepted as an alternative to holding a degree. Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with an eligibility to be cleared for SCI and SAP. Review system assets for compliance to coordinate a testing strategy for patching identified vulnerabilities, administer patching solutions, identify and work with component owners to create subset groups for patching tests before broad enterprise deployment, coordinate with system owners to apply patches to specific products and solutions, maintain continuous vulnerability patching schedules based on cyber tool scan scores, and notify users of upcoming patches and any expected impacts.
