We are looking for a Bulk Material Handler to join our EC team in Greenville, OH. Come create chemistry with us! This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces. As a Bulk Material Operator, you will be responsible for all functions pertaining to the shipping and receiving of all bulk finished materials and raw materials. You may also perform a variety of other tasks relating to shipment of products. As a Bulk Material Handler, you will create chemistry by... Loading and off-loading bulk materials Operating powered industrial equipment such as yard tractors to transport materials to and from truck dock Sampling tank wagons and storage tanks; verifying schedule, tank wagon, and material before loading or off loading Monitoring product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with production lanes Checking conditions and weights of vessels to ensure compliance with loading procedures Inspecting and maintaining cleanliness and condition of load/unload areas Operating pumps and equipment to transfer material Adjusting valves to control flow of material to tanks or tank wagons Supporting Process Safety programs through participation in compliance audits, Pre-Start up Safety Reviews, PHAs (Revalidations; Clean-Sheets) and other hazard / risk assessment activities Accepting personal responsibility to act according to process safety regulations and company directives Demonstrating an understanding of primary hazards in work area and the safeguards in place to manage them as this is a safety sensitive position If you have... High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years of chemical handling experience; familiarity with chemical safety/hygiene issues Experience in operation of powered industrial equipment, yard tractor operation, and experience with handling chemicals preferred Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to have a self-directed work ethic Strong safety commitment Computer skills (DCS, excel, and outlook) for scheduling and training Ability to lift up to 55lbs Willingness to work off shift or rotating shifts Hazardous Materials Handling Certification CFR49 (preferred) Create your own chemistry with you@BASF.
