Project Manager

Position Summary:

Our partner, a global healthcare leader, is investing in a new SaaS Clinical Trial Management platform to modernize how studies are run worldwide. They are seeking a project manager to lead the implementation and manage the transition from a legacy CTMS to a vendor-hosted solution. In this role, you will coordinate across vendors, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver in a highly regulated environment. You will oversee data migration planning, ensure reporting and integration needs are addressed, and maintain structured documentation. The work includes aligning cross-functional teams, balancing vendor timelines with governance requirements, and driving accountability across all contributors. You will manage competing priorities and turn them into a structured, achievable plan. Success means delivering a compliant, data-driven system that supports global clinical research with accuracy and integrity.

Experience and Education:

  • Experience leading full lifecycle system implementations, ideally multiple
  • Background in predictive project delivery approaches
  • Exposure to data migration and reporting considerations in enterprise projects
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and vendor-driven implementation models
  • Experience collaborating with IT, business, and external vendor teams
  • Strong track record of project documentation and structured requirements gathering
  • Previous work with enterprise project management tools (Workfront preferred)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of a new Clinical Trial Management System from kickoff to go-live
  • Coordinate across vendor, IT, and business stakeholders to drive delivery
  • Manage predictive (waterfall) project schedules and milestones
  • Oversee structured requirements documentation with input from clinical and IT teams
  • Facilitate workshops on planning, data migration, and key project phases
  • Track action items, decisions, and risks, ensuring accountability across teams
  • Monitor vendor deliverables against agreed timelines and quality standards
  • Support evaluation and planning of data migration approach (no hands-on coding)
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and consumable
  • Anticipate gaps in vendor timelines and adjust plans accordingly
  • Provide clear and regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain alignment between business needs and technical implementation
  • Partner with IT resources to engage infrastructure or reporting support as needed
  • Uphold project governance and adherence to established methodologies
  • Drive project execution while navigating organizational dynamics and priorities
