Position: Project Manager

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary Range: $105,000 - $132,000.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma with 8+ years operational experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • 3+ years’ experience in a project management/process improvement role that includes delivery of technology solutions
  • Specific experience leading projects with noticeable business impacts and/or cross-divisional involvement
  • Strong working knowledge of the project life cycle, and project management best practices
  • Demonstrated change management experience
  • Knowledge of agile project management processes and terminology
  • Comfortable collaborating across numerous departmental lines to drive progress
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills are imperative
  • Must possess excellent organization and time management skills
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and able to balance priorities under changing conditions
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to resolve conflict, negotiate solutions, remove barriers and build consensus
  • Able to motivate and build teams and influence without formal authority along with administering accountability
  • Proficiency in the use of business software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and MS Project
  • Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Operations or related field of study
  • 5+ years in a project management lead or related team member role
  • Experience in two or more of the following disciplines: financial services, operations or manufacturing
  • CAPM / PMP or other industry recognized project management/process improvement certification
  • Formal traditional or agile project management training
  • Previous work in an enterprise PMO or matrixed organization
  • Experience in the credit union or financial services industry
  • Overall knowledge of Symitar software, Delta Community Credit Union policies and procedures

Essential Functions:

  • Lead cross-departmental teams in the planning, analysis, and execution tracking efforts necessary to deliver enterprise level projects on-time, on-budget, and to customer satisfaction
  • Cultivate, manage, and track projects from inception to implementation
  • Develop and manage project-specific processes (project charters, scope statements, Gantt timeline charts, status reports etc.) necessary to support effective implementation efforts facilitate the analysis and improvement of operational and business processes
  • Provide project management consultation support to business unit managers driving departmental initiatives
  • Communicate regularly with all levels of organization, industry peers, service providers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and application systems development and support
  • Participate in strategic planning and promoting best practices
  • Facilitate problem-solving discussions and activities along with negotiating alternative solutions when conflict surfaces
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and able to balance priorities under changing conditions
  • Motivate, build teams, and influence without formal authority along with administering accountability
