Job Description
The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing marketing initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and growth of the organization. This role leads community outreach, public relations, referrer engagement, advertising, and digital marketing strategies while supervising a team of support staff, including physician liaisons and a marketing coordinator. The Marketing Manager ensures consistent messaging, effective engagement with referrers and the community, and measurable results across all platforms.
Marketing & Branding
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support organizational goals, service lines, and physician practices.
- Oversee all advertising campaigns (print, digital, broadcast, outdoor) to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Collaborate with leadership to align marketing initiatives with organizational objectives.
Community Outreach & Engagement
- Plan and manage community outreach programs, events, and partnerships to increase awareness and engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders.
- Support physician liaisons in strengthening referrer engagement and building provider-to-provider connections.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Lead development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including paid campaigns, SEO/SEM, website management, and email marketing.
- Oversee social media campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring consistent tone, brand identity, and audience growth.
- Analyze performance metrics, track ROI, and adjust strategies to maximize effectiveness.
Public Relations & Communications
- Serve as point of contact for media relations, including press releases, interviews, and crisis communications.
- Develop compelling content for newsletters, blogs, and organizational communications.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, legal, and ethical standards in all communications.
Proactive Communication with Physicians
- A critical component of this role is maintaining strong, proactive communication with physicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing clear outreach and engagement plans, effectively communicating those plans to physicians, and providing timely updates on outcomes and results. This consistent communication ensures alignment, builds trust, and supports collaboration in achieving organizational goals.
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and mentor a team of support staff, including physician liaisons and a marketing coordinator.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance management to ensure team success.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Data & Analytics
- Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance, digital analytics, and campaign effectiveness.
- Utilize data insights to refine strategies, optimize campaigns, and drive business growth.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in healthcare or a related industry.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of management experience, demonstrating proven ability to lead teams, oversee daily operations, delegate responsibilities effectively, and ensure organizational goals are met. Experience should include supervising staff, managing workflows, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Prior experience with budgeting, scheduling, and conflict resolution is also highly valued.
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, public relations, and community engagement.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare marketing trends, HIPAA compliance, and ethical guidelines.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO tools, analytics software).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute both short-term and long-term initiatives.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, exempt position.
- Requires occasional evening or weekend work for events and community outreach activities.
- Travel is required within the community and service areas.
