Job Description

We are looking for a Sr Business Analyst with strong technology and financial management background to help operationalize and improve the Technology Business Management (TBM) solution designed to position executives with the knowledge to manage and communicate the cost, quality, and value of IT Services. The Sr Business Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Global Technology Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including analyzing trends, variances, and performance metrics.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning for IT projects and software spend.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports by function, spend type.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, identify key financial drivers, and provide insights for business performance improvement.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key financial insights and recommendations.
  • Evaluate financial performance of new projects and initiatives, providing cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments.
  • Support the IT finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, preferably within the IT industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; experience with leading ERP solutions, financial software and reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have financial experience - familiarity with Budgetary Planning and Cost Reporting
  • Must have proven leadership experience - Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.
  • Must have strong interpersonal relationships skills - Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner


Professional Skills:
  • Technology Business Management
    • Operationalize a Technology Business Management tool and discipline (preferably Apptio)
      • Use rules based, data driven mappings for consistent reporting
      • Ensure data sustainability
      • Evangelize and get buy-in on TBM process and expectations with IT, Finance and the Business
      • Granular self-serve analytics
      • Identify significant variance to plan or abnormal trends in spend. Identify early and course correct spend. Channel surpluses to project acceleration.
      • Identify and explain changes from original budget to latest forecast
      • Integrated view of fixed vs. variable costs across IT functions
      • Identify and explain the assets driving the current depreciation schedule
    • Operate as a regular member of the IT organization senior management teams:
      • Point-of-contact for financial management information requests
      • Operate as an integrator / coordinator for engaging other Business Service and IT teams
      • Assisting in the development and management of meeting agendas
      • Developing, tracking and reporting on management action plans
    • Management Reporting
      • Provide timely, accurate management, analysis and reporting of IT business results
      • Accountable for the continued improvement to the quality of the management reporting through leading initiatives to implement relevant changes to the current reporting
      • Develop and implement strategy and action plans to reduce data gaps and ensure efficient and effective use of data
      • Prepare performance reports and ad hoc requests
    • Ensure Business Administration support for TBM
      • Maintain and manage TBM Process, data sustainability & headcount analysis
    • Develop management presentations in support of CIO, SVP, VP and senior management team members:
      • Develop and prepare executive presentation materials
  • Business Communication
    • Oversight and leadership of business communication support for Information Technology.
    • Develop and ensure the effective communication plans in support of executives and strategic programs / projects
  • Business Planning
  • Familiarity with guidelines for capital vs operating expense
