As a Civil Engineer at raSmith, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, applying your expertise to solve complex challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment. Design, plan, and supervise a wide range of construction projects from conception to completion. Manage and lead project teams to ensure the delivery of projects in accordance with client specifications, budgets, and timelines. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other). Assess potential risks, materials, and costs on project plans. Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders. Handle over the resulting structures and services for use. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety requirements and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required. Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, and erosion control. Strong skills in project management and supervision. Expert knowledge in CAD software and engineering design software. Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar. Skillful in complex problem solving, decision making, and critical thinking. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Capability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
