CHI Health is seeking to add a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to the experienced group at CHI St. Francis inGrand Island, Nebraska.
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) is responsible for providing direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting and conducts medical histories, performs complete physical examinations, initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests and other special tests required for evaluation. Performs routine and specialized procedures as credentialed. May prescribe and monitor medications. Participates in medical team rounds and collaborates with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel. Educates patient families and answers questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects and hazards. Refers patients to specialists as appropriate. Our Advanced Practice Providers are a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills.

Part-Time .6 FTE 2-physician and 6 NNP practice Level-III NICU with 27 private rooms Combination of 12 and 24-hour shifts in-house Services include high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling and transports Pediatric cardiologist on staff at St. Elizabeth and the practice works in close collaboration with pediatric sub-specialists at Children's Hospital in Omaha including pediatric surgery, orthopedics, cardiology and dermatology

Qualifications Master's Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from accredited program Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Board Certification NE License required BLS, PALS and NRP certification
