Comfortable working around hazardous materials • HAZWOPER 10/30/40 hour training certifications. • OSHA 10/30 hour training • MA Wastewater license • Comfortability with wearing respirator (SCBA) & working around hazardous chemicals - gallium, arsenic, chlorine, ammonia, xylene etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds (interior, exterior). Basic knowledge of trades, (i.e. plumbing, electrical and HVAC). Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches. DescriptionFacilities Maintenance Level 1 Technician 1Work in a safe manner using appropriate personal protective gear and apparel 2Reliable shift coverage 3Demonstrate safe and proper use of tools and equipment 4Ability to communicate and support other staff members, supervisors and customers needs 5Demonstrate ability to read, comprehend and execute documented procedures, work instructions, prevented maintenance and requests. 6Ability to complete required documentation with consistency (i.e. shift checklist, system clip board readings, etc.) identify actionable items and escalate and/or address appropriately and timely, repeatedly 7Ability to prioritize, escalate and communicate status or urgent issues 8Demonstrate clear understanding and ability to manage industrial waste water treatment system (calibration and corrective measures) as a licensed Grade 1 Operator 9Complete maintenance requests and preventive maintenance tasks utilizing maintenance database 10Order and coordinate supplies needed for assigned routine tasks 11Perform basic carpentry skills such as patching, painting and finishing of walls, ceilings and floors with consistent high quality 12Basic knowledge of skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC & carpentry 13Basic knowledge of energy management systems (climate control) 14Ability to safely interface with building fire protection systems 15Manage and maintain inventories of critical consumable items 16Maintains a safe, clean and organized environment 17Supporting Emergency Response Team needs 18Ensure all required training is up-to-date and nothing overdue. 19Holds an active Industrial Grade 1 (or greater) Ma.
