The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients.Job SummaryOur client, a rapidly growing Gastroenterology practice, is seeking a professional and welcoming Medical Receptionist. The primary responsibilities include serving as the initial point of contact for patients, maintaining organized charts and a reception area, and ensuring a seamless experience for patients in-person and via phone.Key Responsibilities Greet patients courteously and verify demographic and insurance information. Collect co-pays and process payments, maintaining accurate records. Schedule follow-up procedures, labs, or tests as directed by medical staff. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, and place reminder calls for patient appointments. Participate in staff meetings and assist with department goal implementations. Perform additional office duties as needed, such as ordering supplies and organizing the work environment.Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Two to four years of experience as an office receptionist, preferably in a medical environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of professionalism. Intermediate computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and medical software (Intergy preferred).Skills Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact professionally in stressful situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the company's mission and values. Proficient in computer usage and general office equipment operation.Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
