About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Java Developer to join our technology delivery team, working on large-scale initiatives within the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will bring leadership skills, strong Java expertise, and hands-on experience with Graph databases. This role will involve guiding technical direction, mentoring developers, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable API solutions using
Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud. Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS-native databases, including
DocumentDB and Neptune (GraphDB). Define and enforce best practices around security, performance, and coding standards. Drive adoption of modern architectural design patterns and engineering practices. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the development team. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with business objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues with a strategic, hands-on approach. Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and promote an engineering culture of excellence.
Must-Have Skills
8+ years of experience as a
Lead Java Developer. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud solutions and CI/CD pipelines. Proven success working with Graph databases (preferably AWS Neptune). Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring capabilities. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in financial services or insurance industries. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of cloud-native security practices. Experience leading Agile development efforts.
