Lucix Corporation, a subsidiary of HEICO's Electronic Technologies Group has steadily evolved to become the world leader in RF Active and Passive Units, Subsystems, and Assemblies, for Commercial, Civil and Defense Satellite Payloads. Lucix also provides RF hardware for Airborne and Ground Systems. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested, and shipped from Lucix facilities in California, USA.
We are seeking a n experienced manager for a Senior Manager level position in the Operations group of an established provider of RF & Microwave hardware to the global satellite and commercial markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with VP of Operations to define and execute a vision and a roadmap for the Manufacturing Engineering team that is aligned with Lucix's business goals
Work in collaboration with Chief Manufacturing Engineer to improve company processes for efficiency, expand processes for new markets, and document design standards for manufacturability.
Evaluate the performance and potential of each member of the Manufacturing Engineering team and develop them accordingly, mentoring to improve skills
Manage Manufacturing Engineering team tasks to defined deadlines, contributing to OTD for the company. Able to present visual plan for use of resources to meet schedules.
Communicates status of activities at the Executive level internally and externally
Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
Mentor manufacturing engineers in problem solving of complex manufacturing technology issues; when needed, solve them directly
Requirements
Job Requirements:
BS in engineering or closely related field
A minimum of 8 years of related experience in Operations for RF/Microwave products
Working knowledge of thin film chip & wire manufacturing materials & processes
Working knowledge of printed circuit assembly manufacturing materials & processes
Working knowledge of materials & processes for hermetic assembly
Proven track record of Operations management success
Understanding of AS9100 quality requirements
Experience with customer interaction during proposal, manufacturing, and test phases
Experience with structural and thermal analysis
Ability to solve open-ended problems with no clearly defined approach
Experience with military and/or satellite hardware preferred, including knowledge of specifications, and test requirements
Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
