We are a private practice seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant at Elegant Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of our dental practices, assisting dentists, and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of dental care. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment.
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as prescribed by the dentist.
  • Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
  • Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant.
  • Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office and dental office software).
  • Strong communication and people skills.

  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA).
