Principal IS Business System Analyst

What you will do and what we expect of you

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will:

Duties:

Lead technical design, development, testing, implementation, and support of key projects in data integration and supporting adhoc analytics and reporting; Own data publishing system supporting all of commercial datasets to both internal & external subscribers; Drive the design and development of data publishing and standard automatic delivery capability using big data technology such as: Apache Spark and databricks; Guide the issue resolution of production ETL pipeline supporting multiple data feeds; Actively engage with partners to analyze business needs, gather and refine requirements and recommend technical design and solutions; Help coordinate vendors and contractors providing guidance as necessary to ensure delivery of commitments; Build expertise in the wide set of technologies required to execute a Data and Analytics Services including AWS: S3, EC2, High Performant Databases: AWS Redshift, Data Integration: Spark, Databricks, Orchestration: Airflow, Jenkins, and reporting platforms: Tableau; Help in code and design review while following sprint cadence and handle the backlog of requirements and user stories; Work in Agile: Scrum and Kanban, and contribute towards making the process more efficient; Works closely in a client facing role with a team of IS, data scientist and engineers and analysts to identify business problems, and provide data-driven solutions; and Provide technical leadership and Commercial data guidance to project teams including: project managers, architects, business analysts, and developers, on tools, technology, and methodology related to the design and development of Data Engineering & Analytics solutions; Lead end-to-end execution of critical initiatives, including product launches, data integration, and platform enhancements; Act as the senior escalation point for all product-related issues, proactively identifying and resolving medium to high-impact challenges related to data integration, accessibility, and performance. Requirements:

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field & 5 years of experience involving the following:

1.Working with large sets of data using tools such as Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, Redshift, or Hive, and delivering business insights using tools such as: Databricks, Informatica, or Tableau;

2. Utilizing Agile: Scrum & Kanban software development framework and methodologies and tools Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint;

3. Ensuring code reviews and data quality checks with the team for the integrity of code using repository versioning tools such as GitHub;

4. Leading design decisions while relying on prior knowledge of database schemas, entity-relationship diagrams, and data warehouse design principles; and

5. Providing deep subject matter expertise on commercial datasets, new data integrations for multiple roadmap items.

Job type: Full Time position. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $160,514.00 - $171,506.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
