As a Jr. Business Manager within the Asset and Wealth Management Legal organization, you will support the General Counsel and team by providing governance, budget, forecast, and financial analysis support. You will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, communicate with senior management, and contribute to strategic agendas and special projects. Your role will involve advanced metrics, data management, and headcount forecasting, allowing you to make a significant impact on the organization's financial planning and business management.
Job responsibilities
Assist in AWM Legal Department's global budget planning and ongoing forecast expense management Advise Finance & Business Management on forecasting, headcount monitoring and outside counsel spend Manage internal and external spend including tracking headcount and financials and develop reports for senior management Support overall strategic agendas and prioritization process Plan and developing materials for business reviews, town halls, off-sites, and weekly management meetings Coordinate for administrative functions within the organization Participate in initiatives as assigned by senior management team including presentations, ad-hoc analysis Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
8+ years in Business Analytics and/or Financial Planning. Experience in analyzing budgets, forecasting and communicating variances to plan Analytical and commercial mind-set to evaluate the returns on investment initiatives and the financial implications of various structure and process changes Strong skills in data analytics and presentation; including the ability to distill information into headline story lines supported by appropriate detail Expert level in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to join data together via lookups and related functions, to create clear presentable results using pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, etc. Very strong project and process management skills, including the ability to run meetings, create agendas, and keep teams on task to meet deliverables Ability to escalate issues with proposed solutions and keep key stakeholders informed of issue status Ability to excel in a disbursed environment where your colleagues and key partners are geographically spread Excellent verbal, written, creative thinking and presentation skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, with focus on detail and quality Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience with financial infrastructure and data systems, and some programming experience (eg. SQL, Tableau) a plus Experience with financial reporting systems and processes, Essbase, databases, Tableau, business objects, etc. is a plus
