Description

Specific Responsibilities:

Referral Processing: Receive, log, and process referrals for community health and wellness services, maintaining strict confidentiality and data accuracy.

Follow-Up Coordination: Proactively follow up with clients, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the timely completion of referrals and service delivery.

Claims Scrubbing: Review and audit healthcare claims for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to submission, working collaboratively with billing staff to resolve discrepancies.

Credentialing: Assist in the insurance credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring all required documentation is gathered, accurate, and submitted on time to various insurance payers and government programs.

Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain precise, organized, and secure records of communications, referrals, claims, and billing activities in accordance with HIPAA and SCO policies.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Community Health and Wellness Division, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, assisting with reports, and overseeing office supplies inventory.

Problem Solving: Display initiative and independence in addressing challenges, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and service quality.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative staff, fostering a spirit of cooperation and contributing to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, health administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a healthcare, wellness, or social services environment.

Demonstrated experience with claims processing, referral management, and Medicaid billing highly desired.

Proven ability to answer phones and emails efficiently in a high-volume, client-facing setting.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Strong computer proficiency, including experience with electronic health records (EHR), billing software, email, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Displays initiative and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and Medicaid billing regulations preferred.

Salary $48K-$50K
