As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE The Statistician performs data analysis according to requirements of statistical plans and seeks to design meaningful studies to assess the performance of implantable products within the Cardiac Rhythm Management business unit (e.g., leadless pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac leads). The statistician uses statistical software, such as R or Minitab, to accurately prepare data, complete analysis, and provide appropriate visual reports. The statistician must provide statistical input to cross-functional teams and review protocols, records, and statistical plans.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Perform data analysis using R, Minitab or other statistical software.Understand study design and statistical analysis plan.Explore data to ensure integrity of study data.Analyzescustomercomplaints,eventsandotherpostmarketsurveillancedataby examiningthe datafor patternsandtrendsandinvestigatingwhennecessary.Ensure accuracy of statistical analysis outputs.Interact with cross-functional team on statistical concepts.Develop protocols with statistical plans and appropriate records.Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.Apply business and ethical standards and apply strong attention to details.Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or related fieldMaster's Degree or PhD, PreferredExperience/Background Minimum 1 yearwork experience post-graduationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStatistical Software (Minitab, R, SAS)Graduate projects or thesis associated with engineering, medical devices, or pharmaceutical productsWork experience in the fields of health care or medical devicesDemonstrated interest in the application of statistics to health careUnderstanding of the US and International regulatory environment for medical device development, manufacturing, and post-market surveillance.Please note that the salary range listed is our full grade range. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
