Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their healthcare experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office operations.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered. Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently to optimize patient flow. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations. Assist in the preparation of medical documentation and reports as needed. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments. Handle insurance verifications and assist patients with understanding their coverage options. Support the administrative functions of the office, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Ensure a welcoming environment for patients by maintaining a clean and organized reception area. Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike. Proficient in using office software applications for scheduling, record keeping, and communication. Experience in providing medical administrative support is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in healthcare administration is advantageous.
