Ground Systems Integration Engineer
to join a cutting-edge government consulting company located in
Irvine, CA
through a
hybrid
work environment (2-3 days onsite). The
Ground Systems Integration Engineer
will lead the deployment and integration of satellite ground systems, working across multiple programs and technologies to support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead integration efforts for satellite ground systems and embedded platforms Develop, test, and deploy software solutions in Python, C++, or Java Implement and manage NSA Type 1 encryption algorithms for secure communications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with mission goals Utilize Git/GitHub for version control and contribute to open-source initiatives Interface with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, RDS) Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in software development and systems integration Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java Hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems and hardware/software integration Familiarity with NSA Type 1 encryption algorithms such as PEGASUS, CARIBOU, AES-256 variants Knowledge of satellite communication protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP) Experience with telemetry and command standards (XTCE, MIB) Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS) Ability to maintain a US government active TS/SCI clearance required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Compensation:
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $170,000 (depending on experience)
