Warehouse Worker

We are seeking dedicated Warehouse Workers for the first shift from 5 AM to 1:30 PM at a syrup flavoring plant. Candidates will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts, order picking, and standing on their feet throughout the day. The role involves inspecting bottles for correct labeling, monitoring overflow of syrup, checking for leaks, capping, and boxing. The position requires handling both glass and plastic bottles, and lifting boxes with full and empty bottles weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts efficiently in the warehouse.
• Pick orders accurately and stand on feet for extended periods.
• Inspect bottles for correct labels, syrup overflow, leaks, capping, and boxing.
• Handle glass and plastic bottles with care.
• Lift boxes weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Follow warehouse GMPs and safety protocols diligently.
• Supply own safety shoes as required.
• Maintain inventory and organize warehouse stock.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts, especially sit-down forklifts.
• Reliability and consistent attendance.
• Attention to detail.
• Adherence to safety protocols and warehouse GMPs.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Production experience is a plus.
• Experience with RF scanners, material handling, and pallet jacks.
• Order pulling and inventory management skills.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Labelling and warehouse inventory skills.
• Minimum of 2 years warehouse experience preferred; candidates with 1 year may be considered.

Work Environment

The facility is expansive with a warehouse on one side and production on the other. The production area operates four lines with 4-10 workers per line, in a room temperature environment. Employees are required to wear hair and beard nets, as well as safety glasses.

This is a Contract position based out of San Leandro, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
