Job Opening: Part-Time Evening Front Desk Receptionist
Pay Rate: $16-$20/hour (based on experience)
Location: Lotus Professional College - (8935 Patterson Ave, Henrico, VA 23229)
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Position Overview:
As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will play a key role in creating a positive first impression for students, faculty, and visitors. You'll manage front desk operations, support administrative functions, and help maintain a calm and organized environment.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Daily Operations:
- Open and close the front desk following detailed procedures.
- Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, welcoming, and well-organized.
- Manage product sales, snack/drink bar, and merchandise displays.
Clinic Support:
- Print daily clinic schedules using Mindbody.
- Pull, prepare, and file client records according to clinic needs.
- Ensure records are properly returned and secured at the end of each shift.
- Support client rebooking's, check-ins, and aid clinic supervisors.
Technology & Systems:
- Use iPad to operate square system for payments and inventory management, and Sonos to manage clinic/lobby music
- Maintain outlook mail & calendar, Mindbody, and UnifiedPractice system during shifts.
- Accurately log inventory updates, comps, and expirations in Square and Excel.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a higher education or similar professional environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with student information systems and academic management software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards students and volunteers.
