Industrial Electrician

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment. This role involves assembling and installing new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose, repair, and document issues.
  • Perform electrical testing such as meggar, voltmeter, ammeter, ground locating, and other electrical tests.
  • Configure, commission, troubleshoot, and startup AC/DC Drives, PLC, HMI, and industrial lighting equipment.
  • Read, comprehend, and create basic electrical prints and mark-ups for electrical installations.
  • Start, stop, maintain, and assist with the installation and repair of generating and power distribution equipment.
  • Dismantle and assemble electrical motors and allied equipment.
  • Install and repair electrical conduit and cable, including connections, controls, grounding, etc.
  • Create work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, and material usage documentation.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with 480V electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC Drive, PLC (Programmable Logic Control), and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
  • Understanding of DCS (Distributive Control System) installation and operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Electrical Journeyman certification or 5+ years of verified experience as an industrial maintenance electrician.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and drawings.
  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.

Work Environment:

You will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled, which can be hot or humid. Surfaces may be wet, dusty, and uneven, with high noise levels, vibration, and fumes. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, and head protection is required in certain areas.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $87360.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Berlin, NJ.
